Lover of The Lonely Available

Lover of The Lonely Available

Dating South Africa
What really does it take for man to realise that he/she is a social animal that is meant for like company, not isolation? Haven’t we seen in society clear evidence of the pitfalls of perpetual singles? Do we appreciate how this seems to go against both nature and divine design? Celibacy? We all know how the catholic church celebrates and requires celibacy for its clergy. And how this has been the case for ages now. But how often do we hear of disturbing cases of child molestation and infidelity between priests and nuns in both social and mainstream media? And it becomes anybody’s guess what really happens behind the scenes, away from the eyes of the media.  It is quite evident we cannot go against nature with impunity. We cannot afford to be alone and still expect our lives to be nor...
MAKE YOUR WOMAN STICK WITH YOU

MAKE YOUR WOMAN STICK WITH YOU

Hookups
When you finally manage to get what you pray for, the last thing you would want is to lose the same. This is especially true in the case of that woman who formerly was the subject of your fantasies. However, you do not just expect a woman to stay and remain loyal to you when you do not create the requisite atmosphere. EXPRESS LOVE Love is not love if not expressed, if not given away. You just cannot keep it in the heart, lest it ceases to be love after all. Most men have that weakness of failing to express love, yet it is the number one thing any woman would want. BE CONSIDERATE You will not have it your way always. Instead, consider her viewpoint, perchance she is right and you are wrong. Before you dictate things or go mad, take time to consider her side of the story and her views ...
VALUABLE RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

VALUABLE RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Hookups
I am inundated on my social media platforms by young people seeking advice on relationship issues. I am alive to the challenges and disappointments prevalent in relationships, especially those entered into by immature, unprepared and not-so-meticulous persons. Summarized here is  the advice I often give, which might be helpful to many. Wait Good things come to those who wait. Early indulgence in relationships is perilous and should be avoided. Let yourself be mature so you can make correct decisions for yourself. Even on sexual matters, I urge all not to have a casual approach to intercourse, but to view the same in the context of marriage. If you want to live a life of regrets, believe and do otherwise. At least you will not allege you were not warned. Have a purpose I have a conv...
THE GREATEST AFRICAN MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME

THE GREATEST AFRICAN MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME

Entertainment
We often discuss who the greatest African musician of all time is. Often, we use narrow country considerations, and not any objective criteria, when making our assessments and arriving at conclusions and positions. In this installment we discuss music a bit. Herein, our focus is on Africa's greatest. We are talented. Musically, we are talented as the men of colour. Worldwide, some of the most prominent musicians are of our own race, and that is proof enough that we have the talent and capabilities in abundance. Even some of the most inspiring Christian hymnals have Negro roots. That,  though, cannot be confirmed here as a fact. Therefore if we fail to make it on the world stage, we should not question the talent of our artists. That failure should be investigated so that African tale...
MONEY CAN NEVER BUY HAPPINESS.

MONEY CAN NEVER BUY HAPPINESS.

HEALTH AND HAPPINES
Do you ever wonder how some very poor people and couples are the happiest? Are we not charmed by how closely knit together they often appear to be, regardless of their sounding poverty? I guess every one of us has made a similar observation, and that leads us to a common, natural conclusion. Is money everything? We often say that money is everything, and it is the ultimate reference point in decision-making even on pertinent life issues. When we choose careers, occupations, friends and associates, and even life partners, many of us take wealth, reflected in monetary terms, as the typical fundamental consideration. We simply live in a world so obsessed with money and all it brings, and have thus relegated other critical factors for consideration at the altar of mammon. But what really...
BEAUTY WITH BRAINS INCOMPATIBLE?

BEAUTY WITH BRAINS INCOMPATIBLE?

What's Hot
Have you ever heard of beauty with brains? The internet is awash with images of supposedly beautiful women flaunting their bodies for all to optically feast, leaving one to wonder if that is all beauty implies. We often see slender girls at our various institutions of higher learning participating in and often winning beauty pageants at will. They sound good, fluent and knowledgeable if and when asked any questions in the foreign queen’s language. Your will wonder if at all they remember what their own language is. What is beauty really about? What a fundamental question this is. We may not really be able to comprehensively define beauty, but at least have a cognitive script of what it is and what it entails. Is it all about having a light complexion added to a slender frame? Or its abou...
BEAUTY IN THE AFRICAN CONTEXT

BEAUTY IN THE AFRICAN CONTEXT

Entertainment
Watch an Indian or Korean movie and see how charming the beauty of their women is. What of their natural addictive look, and the natural dressing and ornaments? One likable thing about Indian and Korean films is that their cultural practices and beliefs are all too evident. They are original. And we have all grown to love them deeply, and to appreciate the beauty of their works of art as we see it. We need to learn more from them. Let us consider a few things. Consider what points you can pick up. Conceptions of Beauty. But we can all agree that conceptions of beauty are contextual, and the same is a very subjective term. We often remind ourselves how one man’s meat can be, or often is, another man’s poison. Often, it is our daily experiences, and the things we get exposed to daily, ...
AFRICA MUST SUPPORT HER OWN ARTISTS.

AFRICA MUST SUPPORT HER OWN ARTISTS.

Entertainment
Growing up, we were taught and made to believe that foreign is always lekker. By foreign, they almost always mean Western. For that, we must blame colonialism and its effects. I recall how our forefathers would to sing “God save the Queen”, though the said queen has absolutely nothing to do with us and whatever we stand for. Interestingly, many of our people even had to die fighting foreign wars for their colonial masters. And we still have that colonial hangover; just look at the way we dress, what we eat, the music we listen to, the entertainment habits and so forth. The place for our Africanness. And our Africanness suffers as a result of our inclination towards whatever is Western. Africans are taught to believe everything African is evil and devilish, and everything Western is c...
GOD’S PLACE IN RELATIONSHIPS.

GOD’S PLACE IN RELATIONSHIPS.

Dating South Africa
Does God have a place in courtship and marriage? And how do we cooperate with him, if we choose to let him play any role?? Let us discuss this in the context of looking for a love partner. Many of us, especially young people, would want guidance on how to let God guide them on issues of relationships. When we mention relationships in this context, we do don’t mention those casual associations, but serious relationships by mature people intending to get into marriage as the ultimate aspiration. Religion has no boundaries. We can all agree that religion transcends all boundaries and demarcations of life; its influence is systemic. Thus when you choose to believe, your beliefs should influence every facet and aspect of your life. Furthermore, all decisions you make have to be influenced...
BATTLE OF THE LIMPOPO

BATTLE OF THE LIMPOPO

Sports
We all vividly remember that fateful day, don’t we? It was a high stakes match and, as usual, there were bragging rights to go along with it. Either side of the great Limpopo, we held our breath in anticipation and, as the referee blew the first whistle to signal the commencement of the match, we could hardly stay still on our seats. As they say, the rest is history. South Africa went on to win the derby in July 2000, and violent scenes erupted, causing the death of at least 12 fans who had gone to support their favorite teams on the day. It was a very sad experience. Rivalry time once again. Once again, Zimbabwe and South Africa have been grouped together for the world cup qualifiers. We expect nothing but fireworks from the battle of the Limpopo encounter. A lot is at stake. Wherea...
