Dangerous criminals escape from police custody in Polokwane.
Four dangerous criminals have escaped from police custody in Polokwane. The incident happened in Westenburg on Wednesday around 11:30 on the R101 road, close to Eerstegoud Trading Store. The criminals escaped from a police van whilst being transported for sentencing to Mokopane from Polokwane Correctional Centre. Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed the incident, identifying the escapees as John Fine, 39, Dennis Hove, 39, Figos Madisha, 40, and Clifford Matonhori, 31. The quartet was due to be sentenced this Friday for robbery committed in Mokopane in 2019.
